I've spent the last couple of days in NY State and took this image in the Allegheny State Park, Red house lake. Allegany State Park is a state park in western New York State, located in Cattaraugus County just north of Allegheny National Forest in Pennsylvania. The park is divided into two sections: The Red House Area and the Quaker Run Area. It lies within the Allegheny Highlands forests ecoregion.

Pine Creek Gorge "The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania"

Pine Creek Gorge, better known as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, is situated in approximately 160,000 acres (650 km²) of the Tioga State Forest in the U.S. State of Pennsylvania along Pine Creek. The Canyon begins south of Ansonia, near Wellsboro, along U.S. Route 6 and continues for approximately 47 miles (76 km) south. The maximum depth of the canyon is 1,450 feet (442 m) at Waterville, near the southern end. At Leonard Harrison and Colton Point State Parks, the depth is more than 800 feet and the distance from rim to rim is approximately 4,000 feet (1200 m).

The Lake at Treman ST. PK.

Robert H. Treman State Park is a state park located in Tompkins County, New York in the United States. The park is located along State Route 327, just west of State Routes 13, 34, and 96, situated in the Towns of Ithaca, Enfield and Newfield.

The park has numerous waterfalls along a rigorous 4.5-mile (7.2 km) round-trip hike. Like many of the state parks in the Finger Lakes region, the hiking trails follow a small creek (Enfield Creek, in this case), giving many views of the rock formations in the deep, narrow gorge (Enfield Glen). A natural swimming pool is located at the easternmost waterfall, "Lower Falls." A large (over 100 ft (30 m). high), multi-tiered cascading waterfall, "Lucifer Falls," is a short hike from the top (western) part of the park. The most spectacular view of Lucifer falls can be found along the gorge trail, although there are also overlooks along the rim trail. Finger Lakes Trail skirts the southern edge of the park.

Hello All, Way to cold and windy to go out today. So I decided to play around in CS4 with one of my older images.

Originally I used selective color enhancements to give the viewer the impression of looking thru the doorway into the past. Today I added additional texture layers to give a feeling of antique appearance.

I hope you all like the changes I made, please view at X3 to see the added "noise layers" and comment if you like. The original may be seen in the gallery.
